The 2002 Toyota Camry is the first year of the fifth-generation (XV30) platform, produced from 2002 through 2006. It arrived larger than the XV20 and was sold only as a four-door sedan in Standard, LE, SE, and XLE trims. Power came from the new 2.4L 2AZ-FE inline-four rated at 157 hp or the 3.0L 1MZ-FE V6 rated at 192 hp, with a five-speed manual on the four-cylinder and a four-speed automatic otherwise. The 2002 model year marked a full redesign rather than a carryover.
