The 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser was sold in the United States in two distinct forms: the FJ40 and the FJ60 station wagon that had replaced the FJ55 for 1981. Both used the carbureted 4.2-liter 2F inline-six and a four-speed manual with part-time four-wheel drive and a two-speed transfer case. The FJ60 rode a 107.5-inch wheelbase with four doors, while the FJ40 was near the end of its American availability, which concluded after 1983.
