The 4.5-liter 1FZ-FE twin-cam 24-valve inline-six made 212 horsepower and 275 pound-feet, driving all four wheels full-time through a four-speed automatic, with factory front and rear locking differentials still on the option list. Toyota marked the occasion with a 40th Anniversary Limited edition wearing numbered console badging, a run of 4,744 units commemorating four decades of Land Cruiser sales in America.
