For those of you who might be interested, I updated my photo album today with the latest pics of the X. Ordered a RanchHand rear bumper to replace my dented OEM one. Thats due in Monday so pics of the install will be posted next week. Also have some Banks goodies coming and Husky All Weather floor mats to get ready for winter. What? No more fishing?

My buddy just picked up an 01 7.3L No Boundaries X and that is slated to get all sorts of doo dads so I quess we'll start an album on that work in progress. DVD, subs, and audio install starts on Thursday and over the next few weeks the usual mods will begin to happen. Anyone with any tips or suggestions for newbie diesel owners, please post any info as he hasn't joined this forum yet and I'll pass it along.
Thanks

Scott

First thing to go when you get an Excursion is the roof racks, then you add a rear sway bar, upgrade the shocks, steering stabilizer.

There's a plenty to do on the Diesel Excursions mod wise

Pics look great there Scott,

How does that Infinity sound? I just built a box for my RF's....it's kinda big and clumsy looking, but it sounds fantastic. Also, where did you get the mat on the floor in the back? Looks like a nice adder if you don't plan to use the third row seat very much.

Infinity sounds great and fills the truck with a decent amount of sound. It's compact size can't be beat. Got it a Circuit City on sale for 325.00 including installation. Has full gain controls and several other buttons to change phase, etc. The rear floor mat is made by Husky liners and is available for about 95.00 They make it in a full size version like what i have or you can get a smaller one for behind the third row. If you get the larger one, it does come with cutouts so a third seat could be mounted.

Nice cage in the back...must have a dog, eh? That or the wife goes back there when she's bad, right?

Where did you get that? Thinking about something similar for our German Shepherd!

Eric- try any Pet store and there are several different styles. The mesh type is a little more difficult to find but can be had for about $60.00-$70.00 I am dogless at the moment (sister has an awesome yellow lab) but after our baby comes in March, we are going to get a Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
