Just wanted to leave a sort of "EBay" type feedback regarding a recent deal I made with one of our Forum members. I sold my chrome tube side steps and BFG tires to Skip who goes by smassie88, I believe, from New Jersey. Everyone should know that the transaction was painless and went very smooth. We met halfway in Delaware (I live in Annapolis, MD) and swapped parts/ money. Skip was a wonderful guy to deal with and we spent a while shooting the breeze about our EX's as well. I think it's great that we have a forum like this where we can seek advice, B.S. about our trucks and occasionally sell some of our extra parts. It's also nice to be part of a "community" where everyone is a straight shooter and are honest, geniune people.
BTW Skip, Thanks again!

Prior to our relocation to Texas a couple years ago another Powerstroke Excursion owner I had only spoke to thru the forums stopped by to meet & greet us after we got settled in took us for a test drive in his modded Excursion and it all went from there
Definitely 1st class folks regardless of the engine they choose

Love hearing stories/experiences like this!

Ain't that the truth! I just wish we could all get some sort of secret wave established so when we pass each other on the streets, we can acknowledge each other's fine choice in automobiles...in a cool way. I get a lot of "deer in the headlights" when pulling up alongside another X. Maybe it's a Minnesota thing.

I have to say ditto on Scott's post, from me to him. Everything he said is my feelings towards him/our meeting. As he said, it was really nice to shoot the bull brag about each others X's with a fellow forum member/super nice guy. I don't know of many other X's here where I live, here in southern Jersey. Again, Scott was a hell of a guy and I got a great deal on some super nice items. If Scott is selling something, you better get on it.....it's a great deal and really nice stuff....I'm sure of it. Scott, thanks and hope to meet again soon. |

Eric,
I hear what your saying! I make it a point of waving to fellow X drivers......about 4 time out of 10 they wave back. The X has a cult-like following and I'm happy to be one!
A big wave from Canada!
Cheers.

It does seem like a cult following. I see a lot of wives driving their X's, not sure if they are as "into" it as the guys. Plus, they might think I'm flirting with them or something by waving, winking, etc.

I haven't started the X wave yet but it used to be pretty common place with us in the old 5.0L Mustang days waving or giving thumbs up to each other when passing or meeting at the traffic lights
Another 6 hours before I drop the turkey in the pot!
