Eric -- You'll like it down this way. There's stuff to do all year round, and the ski resorts aren't far away. When you and the Mrs. decide to tour Williamsburg, Va. Beach, or head out to the OBX (local slang for the NC Outer Banks), drop me a line and we'll meet. Heck! I might even spring for a coffee, beer, or a scotch ... or all three ... in whatever order seems appropriate. Best of luck on your relocation, and Happy New Year!

| Quote: | After 9 years at my current employer and living nearly all of my life in Minnesota, my wife and I are making a big move out to Greensboro, North Carolina. I've accepted a job offer out there and will be starting there after the first of the year. This will be a huge change for us but we are excited!
In celebration, we are selling the wife's Cavalier and are going to make the Galaxie a daily driver. The Galaxie is having an AOD transmission (with FE adapter plate for the 390) installed, new rear gears and posi, and an engine overhaul done over the next couple weeks. Since it's still winter up here in MN, I'm having the Galaxie shipped out to NC where I will cruise to/from the office in style and with a huge smile on my face. I may have a few other odds and ends done to it while it's in the shop over the next few weeks and when it's all done, I'm going to have it dyno'd to see how she does. I can't wait! |
where are you currently located in Minneapolis?
I am in the just starting market of looking for a new home |

Welcome to the south, Eric! However, now that you're located south of the NC-VA border, you'll need an updated passport to travel anywhere north. Did you know they teach the "4 R's" in NC? Yep! Readin, Ritin', 'Rithmatic, and the Road to VA. (hee-hee) |

Just made the trek from MN this weekend with the wife and dog. Pretty easy drive, if you ask me! Been down here for 3 months now but this is the wife's first official weekend, so we're not settled in yet. The drivers down here seem a lot better than Minnesota drivers, so far.
