1983 Ford Bronco - This was how she looked when i opened the hood. i had a lifter tick and the PO bought new lifters so i thought i swap them in. 1983 Ford Bronco - i started by removing the bolts that held the compressor in place and the air cleaner and PCV and front oil vent plugs. 1983 Ford Bronco - i moved the compressor off to the side it is still connected and i was told it works (i found out it was junk and removed it all together. 1983 Ford Bronco - Off came the fuel line from the pump to the carb then the valve cover and lifter valley cover. 1983 Ford Bronco - I did one cylinder at a time and replaced all the lifters and 2 slightly bent push rods. 1983 Ford Bronco - new lifter installed and all tourqued back down. i cleaned and painted the lifter cover. 1983 Ford Bronco - another shot of the painted lifter cover. as i was replacing the plugs i found a few bad wires so out the wires come. 1983 Ford Bronco - Here she was all toghther and ready to return to the smog shop. i decided to clean and paint the valve cover too.
