The story
I got it in stock form off a car lot when I was 15 yrs old. What was there of the body was straight and rust free. The 351m that it came from the factory with was so tired that it wouldn't hardly run. It had no steering box on it and the front ring and pinion were shattered . The tailgate and removable top were missing. It had worn out 31 inch tires and white steel spoke wheels, I put it together stock at first. Then it got 33 inch tires. Then came a good running 400 cu egine with goodies added along the way. It wasn't long before it had to have 36 inch Swampers, this meant of course it at least had to have a five inch body lift. Then after that the 9 inch posi in the back and the dana 44 up front kept breaking for some unknown reason, so that meant the front coils had too be replaced with leafs so that 1 ton axle assemblies could be installed front and rear. After that it still just wasn't what I wanted still so I wiped the frame clean, stacked another bronco frame under it and added 9 inches to the suspension mounts, put a dodge power steering box on it to get the right direction of travel and added the 2-1/2 ton Rockwells. Its been a fun three years since I got it. What is next ? Who Knows.... — millpondmonster
