The Ford LTD Crown Victoria (1983-1991) is the box-body Panther-platform full-size Ford, sold as one continuous generation from the 1983 model split until the aero 1992 Crown Victoria replaced it. Every one is body-on-frame, rear-wheel drive, with a 5.0L (302) V8 and the AOD four-speed automatic as the standard powertrain. The 302 ran central fuel injection through 1985 and switched to sequential EFI for 1986, while a carbureted 5.8L (351W) V8 served police and fleet duty. A 1988 freshening revised the front and rear styling; otherwise the body changed very little across nine model years.
The story
this one is an "s" model....fleet car not an LX...no vinyl top.....less chrome.....but thats ok...dont like all the "foo foo" stuff anyways...gonna be a good "everday car".....needs paint ,but i can do that so its no biggie — t65neon
