Inherited truck from grandfather who used it as his daily workhorse until he passed away in early 2010. Gramps wasn't big on looks AT ALL, but always had a dependable Ford truck on hand.
When I got the truck in May '10, it had been sitting for about 6-8mos, took forever to start but still made it from LA to Phx, Az with no problems-FORD TOUGH!!! Since getting it to Az, I've added a 4bbl edelbrock intake and carb, as well as tackling some electrical work to get the factory A/C blowing again. In the middle of the Az summer, I haven't had much motivation to do a lot of work, however I have managed to stop some leaks, change some gaskets as well as strip the moulding, carpet and various other stock junk from the truck. I've got one of the original doors off and swapped with a used door in better shape. As the weather breaks, I'll get the driver door swapped as well.
Next project is puttin on a decent set of 8 bolt rims/ tires and lowering the truck-not an easy task with a "TWIN I-BEAM" suspension up front! Its definitely a "WORK IN PROGRESS" but its coming along...Stay tuned for more pics and progress. — Bnewman4u
