The 1977–1979 LTD II Ranchero brought Ford's car-truck hybrid into its final chapter, and the builds here show everything from a black '77 tucked away in a garage to a green '79 parked outside a cabin and a sharp silver-and-maroon '79 sitting in a driveway. Owners are keeping these alive with aftermarket gauges set into woodgrain dashes, tow hitches on the back, and interiors still sporting that distinctive 'RANCHERO 500' badging with red upholstery.
The story
I have wanted a ranchero for a long time finaly found one that I can drive while I fix her up. If anyone can help me with info I would appreciate it. Mainly how do you tell the diffrence between a 500, a GT , or a regular ranchero? It has a automatic colum shift transmission and a 351w. Any help would be appriciated — 79_in_LasCruces
