About the 1983-1991 Ford LTD Crown Victoria
The Ford LTD Crown Victoria (1983-1991) is the box-body Panther-platform full-size Ford, sold as one continuous generation from the 1983 model split until the aero 1992 Crown Victoria replaced it. Every one is body-on-frame, rear-wheel drive, with a 5.0L (302) V8 and the AOD four-speed automatic as the standard powertrain. The 302 ran central fuel injection through 1985 and switched to sequential EFI for 1986, while a carbureted 5.8L (351W) V8 served police and fleet duty. A 1988 freshening revised the front and rear styling; otherwise the body changed very little across nine model years.

The story
Car has been in family since late 84. I bought from father 8 years ago. The ORIGINAL motor now has 300,685 miles on it, and burns no oil. Motor seems to outlast the body, as she is getting some panel work done in the spring. Interior is immaculate. I love my land yacht! I dare any ricer to get in my way!!
