I recently bought a used P71 from the gov't on auction. I got lucky to get a low milage unit, as it was time for gov't agencies to drive a running P71 to Albqu. NM to trade for the new go-fast pursuit Charger. The car is in good shape, it had typical Ford white peeling paint, a hole in the A pillar from a removed spotlight and a cage. Now, it has paint, the sought after civilian appearance package which makes it a "sleeper" and it runs and handles the way a car should while delivering 25.8 average mpg.. There is a cobra 4.6 DOHC cobra engine (199 lying on my shop floor with only 58000 miles on it, so my future can see a "Cobra-Vic" like Bondurant uses to show his class members the road course. |
