The story
I purchased this Excursion in March 2010 with 196,000 miles. I needed a large SUV for my work. I researched which SUV would work best for me and settled on the Excursion with a 7.3L diesel engine.
During the early months of ownership I had several electrical issues and the truck stalled on me multiple times. I thought I made a huge mistake.
After these early problems, this Excursion has been a great vehicle. I maintain it well and she just keeps "runnin". I get reasonably good gas mileage ranging from 19-22 on the highway.
