So some backstory here. I noticed my tailgate was leaking into the cargo area quite a bit when it rained out, and had been for a lot longer…

Rust dissolver used and immediately painted.

Then used a fiberfix patch on the holes.

Got a cheap roll of stick & peel duct insulation at Home Depot for a bit of heat/noise insulation under the carpet.

Then I cleaned the carpet.

You can see just how nasty it was after 20 years of not being cleaned and the various drilling I had to do around it.

Here it is pretty much all clean, I ended up doing the wheel-well carpeting and the mat infront of the rear seat also.

Toolbox is metal, from home depot, cost about $25. I bolted it to the floor.
