The story

I bought my rig new in December before leaving for Iraq to take advantage of the low interest rates, the hungry dealerships and factory money. I was able to buy an all up Eddie Bauer w/the full meal deal for $1300 below dealer invoice so the fact that is has to set while I'm over here makes no difference to me. — Robert (Bob) Ellsworth

Engine: 6.0 Dsl 5 Spd auto, hi-flow airbox/filter, 4" mandrel bent exhaust nose to toes, Edge engine control module, Edge dash board 5 level controller, depending on altitude and ambient temperature I am getting 45-60 hp from intake and exhaust upgrades with zero boost mods and up to 170-190 hp total with Edge controller set at 5 On settings 3 and above I sometimes experience indecisive shifting from transmission controller conflicts with Edge units inputs. I'd suggest a steady acclerator foot pressue when using the Edge unit at higher settings to avoid transmission damage. Torque output is up by approx 300# bringing it to about 850-870 ft lbs
Drivetrain: The factory Ford suspension is way short on handling this horsepower increase. Full throttle passing situations on wet pavement will find the rear of the vehicle moving ahead of the front end. I might add that I installed (bolted) the bottom half of the large stainless tool box you find at Costco/Sams Club in the rear of my rig in a permanent arrangement so there is plenty of ballast in the rig.

Even with this weight wheelspin can be excessive. In addition when standing on it from a rolling start the body twist or roll is excessive and when I return from this contract I plan on adding stiffer bars, shocks and front end approvements too in an effort to better control the vehicle.
