The story

The truck is a Camper Special, so it is an original 460 truck. The original engine lasted about 2 years worth of competitions. We get a 30 second run and are tied down to a steel pad. The new 460 pulls a lot harder than the old one, but that could be cuz it was 365 hp, 500 ft lbs-stock. Truck usually pulls about 5600 rpms in 3rd gear and with the 31" tires and 3.00:1 gears, that equates to about 172 mph.
