2003 Mercury Marauder “Blackie”
About the 2003–2004 Mercury Marauder
The 2003-2004 Mercury Marauder was a performance version of the Grand Marquis built on Ford's rear-drive Panther platform at the St. Thomas, Ontario plant. It swapped the standard 2-valve 4.6 for a 4.6 liter DOHC 32-valve V8 rated at 302 hp, backed by a 4-speed automatic and a limited-slip rear axle with 3.55 gears. Mercury built about 11,052 of them over two model years, roughly 7,838 for 2003 and 3,214 for 2004, before the car was dropped.
The story
Was some kind of Ford fleet / official car when Pfeiffer Linc-Merc bought it from Ford. It was then used as loaner #25 (last one out) for about a year when I bought it from Pfeiffer. — GreekGod
