About the 2003–2004 Mercury Marauder
The 2003-2004 Mercury Marauder was a performance version of the Grand Marquis built on Ford's rear-drive Panther platform at the St. Thomas, Ontario plant. It swapped the standard 2-valve 4.6 for a 4.6 liter DOHC 32-valve V8 rated at 302 hp, backed by a 4-speed automatic and a limited-slip rear axle with 3.55 gears. Mercury built about 11,052 of them over two model years, roughly 7,838 for 2003 and 3,214 for 2004, before the car was dropped.
