The 1993 Buick Century belongs to the front-wheel-drive GM A-body generation built from 1982 to 1996, offered as a four-door sedan and a four-door station wagon. For 1993 the base engine changed from the earlier 2.5-liter Iron Duke four to a new 2.2-liter OHV inline-four rated at 110 hp (net), with an optional 3.3-liter V6 producing 160 hp (net). Power ran through a three-speed automatic transaxle, with a four-speed automatic overdrive available on V6 cars. Apart from that four-cylinder engine change, the 1993 Century was largely a carryover of the mid-1980s A-body design.
