The 1992 Chevrolet Suburban was all-new on the GMT400 platform, the wagon's first redesign in nineteen years. The TBI 5.7L V8 was standard with the TBI 7.4L reserved for three-quarter-ton 2500s, and 4WD K models traded the old solid front axle for torsion-bar independent front suspension. Out back, buyers chose between panel-style barn doors and a liftgate over a drop tailgate.
