Ford Aspire
1997 Ford Aspire Specs & Photos
The 1997 Ford Aspire was the final year for the nameplate in the United States, ending the Kia-built subcompact line that had started with the Festiva in 1988. A final-year facelift brought redesigned front and rear bumpers, while the 1.3-liter single-overhead-cam four still made 63 horsepower with a five-speed manual or three-speed automatic and dual airbags stayed standard. Its departure left Ford without a subcompact in the US lineup until the Fiesta returned for the 2011 model year.
