The 1954 Ford F-250 was the three-quarter-ton model of the second-generation F-Series (1953-1956). For 1954 Ford dropped the flathead V8 and introduced the overhead-valve 239 cu in (3.9 L) Y-block V8 rated at 130 hp gross, while the base inline-six grew to 223 cu in (3.7 L) producing 115 hp gross. Ford-O-Matic automatic became available on the F-250 that year alongside the 3-speed and optional 4-speed manual transmissions. Body configurations included the flareside pickup, stake, and chassis cab.
