Ford F-450
1999 Ford F-450 Specs & Photos
The 1999 Ford F-450 introduced the F-Series Super Duty line's Class 4 chassis cab, arriving with the F-250, F-350, and new F-550 when Super Duty production began in January 1998. It was offered only as a dual-rear-wheel chassis cab with no factory pickup box, powered by the 6.8L Triton V10 gasoline engine or the 7.3L Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 (235 net horsepower, 500 lb-ft). Transmissions were a ZF six-speed manual or a 4R100 four-speed automatic. As the first year of the first-generation Super Duty (1999-2007), it established the F-450 nameplate above the F-350.
