The 1960 Ford Fairlane moved onto Ford's all-new, wider full-size body on a 119 inch wheelbase and slid to the entry-level slot below the Galaxie. Fairlane and Fairlane 500 sold mostly as sedans aimed at fleet and budget buyers. The engine range ran from the 223 six to the 352, which added a 360 hp gross Interceptor version to the full-size line that year.
