The 1976 Ford Ranchero was the final year of the Gran Torino generation, offered as the 500, the woodgrain Squire, and the GT. The base engine was the 250 inline-six, with V8s including the 302, 351, 400, and the 460 big-block, all rated SAE net. For 1977 the Ranchero moved onto the LTD II platform that replaced the Gran Torino.
