The 2004 Ford Thunderbird continued the eleventh-generation two-seat convertible with the 3.9L DOHC V8 rated at 280 SAE net horsepower, now paired with a five-speed SelectShift automatic offering manual gear selection. A Pacific Coast Roadster special edition was offered for 2004. The model shared its rear-wheel-drive DEW98 platform with the Lincoln LS.
