Ford Torino
1969 Ford Torino Specs & Photos
The 1969 Ford Torino carried over the first-generation Fairlane-based body and added the budget-muscle Torino Cobra, powered by the 428 cu in (7.0L) Cobra Jet V8 rated at 335 hp (gross), with a Super Cobra Jet Drag Pack option adding forged internals and an oil cooler. Ford built roughly 14,900 Cobras for the year across the SportsRoof fastback and hardtop bodies, with the fastback far outnumbering the hardtop. Body styles again spanned the hardtop, SportsRoof fastback, sedan, wagon, and GT convertible, and a limited aerodynamic Talladega model with an extended nose and flush grille was produced to homologate the shape for NASCAR. Transmissions were three-speed and four-speed manuals and the Cruise-O-Matic automatic, with power rated in gross horsepower.
The 1969 Ford Torino is part of the Torino (1968-1969) generation (1968–1969). See the full Ford Torino 1968–1969 registry →
