Jaguar XKE
1967 Jaguar XKE Specs & Photos
The 1967 Jaguar XKE is a late Series 1 E-Type (sold as the XK-E in the United States) powered by the 4.2-liter (4235 cc) XK dual-overhead-cam inline-six rated at 265 hp gross with triple SU carburetors and the all-synchromesh four-speed manual adopted in late 1964. Body styles were the open two-seater roadster, the fixed head coupe, and the longer-wheelbase 2+2 coupe added in 1966, the last available with an optional Borg-Warner three-speed automatic. As a mid-cycle carryover it retained the covered-headlight look of the Series 1, though some late US-market cars began the shift to the uncovered-headlight configuration later cataloged as the Series 1.5.
