Jeep Grand Wagoneer
1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Specs & Photos
The 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a full-size four-door wagon on the SJ platform, the body that took the Grand Wagoneer name after the smaller XJ Cherokee arrived for 1984. It used the AMC 360 cubic inch (5.9L) V8 with a two-barrel carburetor, rated at 144 hp (net) and 280 lb-ft of torque, paired to the Chrysler TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic and Selec-Trac selectable four-wheel drive. Standard woodgrain vinyl side paneling and a leather interior positioned it as the luxury flagship of the Jeep range. Mechanically it was a carryover year within the 1984-1991 Grand Wagoneer run, sharing its drivetrain with the 1984 and 1986 models.
