Jeep Grand Wagoneer

1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Specs & Photos

The 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a full-size four-door wagon on the SJ platform, sold in the year Chrysler acquired American Motors (August 1987). It carried the carbureted AMC 360 cubic inch (5.9L) V8 rated at 144 hp (net) and 280 lb-ft of torque, backed by the Chrysler TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic and Selec-Trac four-wheel drive. As with adjacent years it was a carryover, keeping the woodgrain vinyl paneling and leather interior that defined the model. The 360 retained its two-barrel carburetor rather than adopting fuel injection, which was uncommon for a 1987 model year vehicle.
