Mazda B2000
1986 Mazda B2000 Specs & Photos
The 1986 Mazda B2000 is the first model year of Mazda's redesigned rear-wheel-drive compact pickup, the generation sold in North America through 1993. It introduced a new 2.0L (1998cc) FE SOHC 8-valve engine, carbureted and rated around 86 hp, in place of the 1970cc four used by the earlier B2000. The rear wheels were driven through a standard 5-speed manual with an automatic optional, in regular-cab (short-bed or long-bed) and Cab Plus extended-cab body styles. As the debut year of the new design, the 1986 B2000 preceded the 2.2L B2200 that joined the line for 1987.
