Me helping Connie at Bristol in his attempt for a new top speed record in April 25, 1966. He set the new record at 214 mph but not before smacking the front end after a gigantic 2nd run wheelstand. That run required us to replace the oil pan, oil pump / drive & other parts from his spare engine before his record setting 3rd run.
This picture was copied from the Sunday edition, 4/26/66, of "The Tennessean", a local Bristol newspaper which I found archived at the Bristol, VA Library.
