Here are the tools I used to mark the position of the screw holes on the inside of the truck.

You'll see a blow torch and a piece of welding rod with the flux chipped off. Actually, a piece of metal coat hanger would do the trick as well. I bent the end of the rod a little in order to get better access, and to ensure that the hole I made was aligned properly.

What I did was to heat the bent part of the wire. While hot, and from underneath the truck, stick the wire into the holes identified earlier. The wire will quickly melt through the rubber mat and create a small hole. I did this on both sides for the front two holes only. The third (rear) hole is almost inaccessible from underneath. We'll get to that one later.
