i cleaned the floor with soap and water to help degrease the floor and remove any sand. i then used majority of a gallon of Duplicolor bedliner and did a thick layer on the floor and let it dry

because i wont be able to completly stop the water from going under the vinyl floor, this should help prevent any trapped water from from causing rust. it also should help as a heat and sound insulator on its own
