an idea what the dash we made looks like.

the dash is made from PVC board and is very nice and easy, waterproof and cheap but it apparently stains easily. its held in by wingnuts so i can remove it fairly easily if needed.

the steering column is the original. the column shifter and key do nothing but get in the way so it will eventually be removed.

the shifter is a Winters Sidewinder shifter. i like it alot but it is abit slow and noisy tyring to quickly change through the gears, especially when trying to rock the truck free. still recommend it. i did have to get a longer cable to mount it here

the truck is retrofitted with 96 OBD-II wiring i took advantage of that and used a bluetooth OBD-II adapter, a cheap tablet with waterproof case and use the Torque app to act as my primary instrument panel. it works very well.

i have a set of backup analog gauges inside the dash. they include a fuel level, voltage, engine temperature, transmission temperature, and oil pressure gauges. unfortunately they dont worn very well but are there if i need them.

i currently have a cheapo switch panel. it does not work very well and will be replaced by a much better setup in the future.

the radio is a cheap marine rated Boss headunit. the front speakers are some cheap Dual 4" marine speakers. the rear are 6x8" Pioneer speakers. it doesn't sound great but is better than nothing.
