The first replacement part to go on the left side was the inner tie rod end. The booger-weld that allowed it to be driven after being broken in the wreck also prevented the (undamaged) boot from sliding down, which made removing it harder than it should have been. But I didn't have to remove the rack from the frame, as the service manual suggests.
