I put the headers on the car to check thing out and start fabricating the crossover pipe. For the first time, I put the v band clamps for the crossover on the headers while they were on the car. Then I noticed the #1 plug wire hanging there. So I put it on the plug. And it touched the clamp. Spark plug wire burning was a big issue on the old headers so this was not acceptable on the new ones. Cut the flange off and extended the header a couple inches. Now the plug wire clearance is basically same as stock.
