Rather than trying to re-use the stock wiring and wimpy stock amp, I ran 4 dedicated speaker wires to each speaker. Like I said, the difference between the new unit and the stock radio is "very good" compared to muted mumblings through a wall. Take the stock radio out and pitch it in the river.
