Cover off and there is the core. See the black thing on top of the core? That's a pad - keep it as it needs to go on the new core. God, the core looks good...I figured all the rust and corrosion were on the inside clogging it up (more on that later). I could have flushed it first, but a new core is $25 and an hour of my time. The two copper lines up top run out the firewall into the engine compartment. Don't try and take the core out yet....
