These two hoses must come off before the water pump can be completely removed. Anyone who has dealt with these hoses before knows they are real knuckle breakers. Leave them alone for now. There is enough slack, even with the little hose, to remove the pump bolts and pull the pump away from the motor mouning block. Pull the pump forward and the painlessly remove the hoses. Grab pliers and rotate the hose to break the seal, then slowly rotate and pull them off the pump.
