TURN SIGNAL SWITCH / TILT WHEEL
My turn signal switch/tilt wheel broke a few months ago. The lever was real loose, I'd push back for the tilt and I could feel the play as the lever hit the tilt bar and would give way...the switch inside was loose or broke. So the tilt wheel was stuck in my "drive" position - great for getting in/out - and the turn signal lever would not snap back to the off position after completing a turn. After banging my knees a few times, it's time to take a look. Bottom side of wheel - remove the two screws and take off the front of the steering wheel. It will look like the pic above. Two wires to remove first. The single black line is the ground, and it's in the hole with a spring clip. Squeeze and pull. The wires at top are the cruise control. It's really one long plug, so grab at either side and start to tug off.
