the block has to be notched 3/8 of a inch inorder for the outlet tube to fit. It is designed this way. I strongly recommend a 90 degree die grinder and a heavy duty burr. Just make sure you tape the ports shut while modifying It also helps to just put the lower manifold and tube in the valley and trim till the required clearance is achieved Just keep in mind that the intake gaskets will compress some.
