1964 Ford Galaxie 500 E/NSS Drag Car Spec Sheet - 427 FE Build "Aftershock"

This document is a build/spec sheet (car show card) for a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 two-door hardtop drag car nicknamed "Aftershock," owned and built by Bill Troth of Saint Charles, IL. The car competes in the E/NSS class, weighs 3,720 lbs, and runs the quarter mile in 11.67 seconds at 115.62 mph. Originally a 352 with Cruis-O-Matic, the car has been a work in progress since 1999. The engine is an owner-built Ford 427 FE Center Oiler, displacing 453 c.i. with an estimated 500 hp, featuring a Ford 428 crankshaft (3.98" stroke), Eagle H-beam rods, Ross 11.43:1 pistons, Comp-Cams 33-247-4 camshaft (.610 lift), Edelbrock 76cc heads, Edelbrock Victor FE intake with an 850 CFM Holley 4150, and 2" Crites headers. It uses a Ford C6 transmission with manual valve body and B&M Pro-Ratchet shifter, plus a Ford 9-inch rear with 4.56 gears, Strange Engineering Daytona-style center section, and 31-spline axles. Chassis details include leaf spring rear suspension with South Side Machine traction bars, drum brakes, Centerline Terminator wheels, and Goodyear Eagle slicks. Interior includes a 6-point roll bar, 5-point harness, and Autometer gauges.
