Cover the intake ports on the heads so nothing can fall inside. I was lucky.
The hardware store didn't have galvanized 1/4" 45° elbows, so I had to get brass. Turns out, this was a BAD move - the lower one cracked at the block after a few months, and leaked for a few more before I got around to messing with it. Fortunately, due to the other mods I did, it was relatively easy to extract the broken end & put the OPS back in the block.
