One last trip to the hardware store to get these 4"-long 3/8" pipe nipples, and a 1" EMT 1-hole conduit strap (flattened & drilled). The FFM is secure again, and should be MUCH easier to access. The fuel hoses route neatly along the intake, making future maintenance easier.
Turns out, raising the OPS was a BAD move. The lower elbow cracked at the block after a few months, and leaked for a few more before I got around to messing with it. Fortunately, due to the other mods I did, it was relatively easy to extract the broken end & put the OPS back in the block.
