The 2003 Nissan 350Z launched the Z33 generation in August 2002, reviving the Z-car after the 300ZX left the US market in 1996. Its VQ35DE 3.5-liter V6 made 287 horsepower and 274 pound-feet, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic on the FM platform shared with the Infiniti G35. Five trims ran Base, Enthusiast, Performance, Touring, and Track, the last adding Brembo brakes and lightweight forged 18-inch wheels.
