The 1993 Toyota MR2 kept both SW20 drivetrains: the 130-horsepower 2.2-liter 5S-FE and the 200-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter 3S-GTE. In the US, 1993 models introduced the Revision 2 changes, with revised suspension geometry and wider tires on 15-inch wheels to reduce lift-off snap oversteer. A facelift with round taillights followed for 1994, making 1993 the last year of the original SW20 rear styling in the US.
