1995 Ford F-150 “Happy 2” — 69 photos

The story

Former CA truck so it has limited rust under it.
bought to be a farm truck and runabout. However it has turned into a small project and is a blast to drive.
XLT trim. PW/PDL, carpet. sits on 32" tires in photos
Pretty decent sound system. Has an amp and some bass pounding speakers behind the seat...which pretty much is all I know about it as the previous owner installed it I can turn it on and play music. LOUD.
I rebuilt the headliner with fabric from Hobby Lobby and Permatex headliner adhesive.
Currently 6/2020 it runs on 31" BFG ATs on same factory wheels.
Caught another rock to windshield so I'm going to install a new one. Still had the factory glass in this one until now .6/2020

IAC getting replaced 4/19/16.
VSS will be replaced 5/28/16
ICM (color correct BLACK one) 6/15/16 [users beware of parts catalogue listing the grey one for this model truck--they are different]
New Fuel Pump 3/23/17
Body parts replaced:
Tailgate
Radiator support
Header panel
lower valance
Front Bumper

Clear headlamps, markers, and corner lights.
Clear tail lamps
replaced dash pad for one that isn't cracked.
added a factory tachometer and swapped to a different panel surround without the hole from the after market tach.
Slowly upgrading to electric mirrors. Have mirrors and door switch and harness ends. Not important enough to do prior to Winter 2017, but had to grab the parts while available.

Eventually I will paint this truck to something like a Toreador Red (but correct for 1995) — locopny

Engine: 300 I-6 EFI.
Recently did a head gasket and machined the head and valves.
New IAC.
Rebuilt the injectors.
Replaced motor mounts.
Swapped to a Saginaw PS pump from an Econoline van...which meant new pressure hose.
Painted the engine while it was apart for the head work.
Replaced the side cover gasket.
Installed new radiator hoses, plugs, cap, and rotor (twice), along with fresh wires---all at approx. 128K miles.
Removed the K&N air filter and replaced it with the factory airbox.
Drivetrain: D44, 8.8, ZF-5 from 91 F250, manual BW1356, manual hubs.

axle code H9. 3.55 axle ratio. Limited slip from factory.
Limited slip was worn out-replaced gears and discs and cross pin with a kit purchased on eBay. Replaced pinion shaft seal while it was apart as it was leaking.
Bent passenger side axle shaft....spare shaft replaced it.
Replaced the shift forks in the M5OD transmission.
Has the 11" clutch.
Since winter of 2019 it has the ZF-5 vs the old M5OD. replaced the clutch with a HD over 8500# version and TO bearing and surfaced flywheel. MUCH better for my use now.

Needs ball joints and wheel bearings, and all the bushings and shocks. SO, I will be removing my 4" Rancho lift kit from my 90 Bronco and installing it in this truck as I make room for the One Ton suspension on the Bronco. Mainly because I have the lift and all the bearings and bushings have under 15K miles on them.
When that happens (winter of 2020?) it get a tie rod over steering while keeping the stock pitman arm on the steering box. I will also be swapping over the steering stabilizer from the Bronco.
