1983 Ford Bronco - Brutis has had a small leak and whine for awhile and it was time to fix him. new P/S Pump, fluid and hoses. here is the starting point 1983 Ford Bronco - here is a closer view of the old pump and hoses. you can see a leak the old hoses had. 1983 Ford Bronco - ok here is a run down on the parts. new hoses NAPA 7-2427 and 7-2434 this is the pressure and return lines. 1983 Ford Bronco - with a new pump you should get a new filter $1.50 cheap insurance for a new pump and needed for the lifetime warrenty 1983 Ford Bronco - while here i wanted to flush the system so i got 1 gallon of NAPA fluid.you can see the new reman pump to the left. 1983 Ford Bronco - the core charge was $65 so i had a spare and traded it in and did not have the new box. here is the new reman pump. i got the one for Hydro… 1983 Ford Bronco - ok- to do this right you should have these flare line wrenches. you need 3/4 and 5/8 if you do not want to get a set. but they are cheap...… 1983 Ford Bronco - you will need a pulley removal tool. i had a harbor frieht cheap one and it disapeared so i got a better one from NAPA the $82 is painfull… 1983 Ford Bronco - here is the removal/install tool it is a must so you can get the pump off the mounting bracket. 1983 Ford Bronco - ok-it was geting cold fast and dark so i speed thru this. disconnect the return lines. i placed a drain pan below the pump then remove the… 1983 Ford Bronco - there are 2 nuts on the back of the pump that need to come off or do like me remove the bracket===2 exhaust nuts and an alt bolt. then put… 1983 Ford Bronco - remove the lines frm the box and make sure nothing gets in the holes.
